Our speaker, Paul Mein was introduced by Marion Jones. Paul read some poems and prose that he had written himself. As an audience we were moved and enlightened, amused and tearful, but totally enthralled. His descriptive language sparked our imaginations and reminded us of past times.
A vote of thanks was given by Marion who summed up Paul’s writing as ‘deep, profound and moving’.
The raffle was drawn.
Tea and coffee were prepared by Elaine Spowart and Alison McPhillips.
Paul Mein has published his poems in a booklet titled “The language of sands”
